I’m sure there aren’t many Australians who follow “the Great One”, Wayne Gretzky, as well as my friends in North America do – but one of his famous quotes has always had an impact on me.

When asked why he was so darn good at Ice Hockey, he replied:

I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been…

This is absolutely how we at SPAITIAL feel about Spatial AI – to us, this is the obvious future where the digital world and the physical world overlap, bringing new ways of working to the mundane and to exciting tasks alike.

We can read the writing on the wall, and it’s pointing to an increasing amount of computing power being available – and us as humans using this computing power for increasingly trusted AI experiences.

Throw into the mix that this future cannot be contained by two-dimensional screens, and we foresee our AI experiences naturally pouring out into the real world – a world defined by depth, an inherent messyness, and nuanced non-verbal communications.

SPAITIAL (simply pronounced “spatial”) is the beginnings of:

• A daily news aggregator for the loosely-defined field of Spatial AI;
• Regular deep insights into the trends and emerging ways of working that Spatial AI will support;
• A weekly Podcast on Spatial AI from some of the field’s brightest minds;
• Special Podcast episodes for interviews with special guests from industry and academia on Spatial AI;
• And an Online Community to connect with other people who think the same way we do.
